Youth Ministries
A loving community, a bit of Christian formation, a little service to Charlotte, and a lot of fun
The youth ministry of St. Martin’s is built first and foremost around providing a loving, uplifting, Christian community for 7th through 12th graders as they navigate an impossibly stressful time in their lives. We do that through intentional relationship, faith formation, service, and social time within our walls and out in our neighborhood just outside of Uptown Charlotte.
The key calendar events for Youth Ministry at St. Martin’s include:
Sunday Youth Formation: 9:30 to 10:30 am in the Youth Room
Sunday Night EYC: 5 to 7 pm in (and outside) the Parish Hall
Summer EYC: Wednesdays from 5 to 7 pm, June through August
EYC, which stands for Episcopal Youth Community, has a long tradition at St. Martin’s. A sample calendar year of EYC could include activities such as art nights, baking, board games, bowling, city hiking, corn mazes, glow-in-the-dark nights, mountain hiking, movie nights, roller skating, white elephant gift exchanges, and more. We also attend sporting events as a group, host an annual spaghetti supper called Mama Martino’s, and serve at the Galilee Center at least once a quarter.
