FAQs about St. Martin’s Mission Priorities…
1. How do I learn more about the Mission Task Force?
All are welcome! Visit a Mission Task Force meeting and/or contact any Mission Task Force member. Meetings are scheduled for the 1st Tuesday of each month 6:00-7:30PM in the Parish Hall and/or ZOOM. Member recruitment for the next calendar year begins the prior summer.
2. I am interested in joining a mission project. Who do I contact?
Use the contact list on the previous Volunteer Opportunity webpages or contact any Mission Task Force member. See member contact information below on this FAQ webpage.
3. Who do I contact to facilitate publicity for a funding appeal activity and/or to schedule the courtyard/other church buildings for events?
Please contact staff@stmclt.org for these requests.
4. Can I propose a new mission project involving volunteers or funding?
Yes! All project requests will be reviewed by the Mission Board members for adherence to the prevention of homelessness and/or support or partnership with the Galilee Ministries/Center. Before continuing with your request, please review the previous Missional Focus webpages.
5. Does the Mission Task Force provide funding for new projects?
The Mission Board has limited funding, but all requests will be considered. The Mission Task Force currently makes an annual financial donation to two community partners, Galilee Ministries of East Charlotte and the Access to Justice Campaign, Charlotte Center of Legal Advocacy & Legal Aid of North Carolina-Charlotte to support the two missional focus areas. The Mission Task Force also recommends community organization recipients of the offerings at Christmas and Easter to the St. Martin’s Vestry.
6. I’m ready to submit a new mission project request. What should I do?
