Our 2025 Annual Giving Campaign is Here!

Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

I have found that one of the most powerful questions you can ask a person is “How can I pray for you?” That question gets right to heart of it all: how can I bring you into the largest context of grace, forgiveness, and healing? Usually when I ask that question there’s a pause, a brief smile, and sometimes tears. Once we get through how I can pray for someone, they always ask me, “Well, how can I pray for you?” My answer is invariably, “Pray that I can keep the main thing, the main thing.” You see, it is so easy in church life to get distracted, to forget what, or who, at which we are aiming. We are aiming at Christ, that’s our goal, that’s keeping the main thing, the main thing.

This year for our Annual Giving Campaign, we are reminded that all of our giving to St. Martin’s in time, talent, and treasure is an expression of keeping our focus, our aim, on Christ. As you peruse these materials, I encourage you to fix your aim on Christ’s abundance and prayerfully discern how your material gift to this church can be an outward and visible sign of the inward grace of Christ Jesus. I am happy to report that my family, and the entire vestry has taken the bold step of increasing our individual giving to our mission budget for 2025. We have high hopes to strengthen our ministerial reach and we can achieve that if most of us grow our giving.

I’m praying for you,

Josh+

Rector, St. Martin’s Charlotte, NC

WHY SHOULD I PLEDGE?

Pledging is a spiritual exercise that lets us reflect on the gifts God has given us. In a more practical sense, it's how we keep the church and all of its programs running.

DO I NEED TO PLEDGE IF I GIVE IN THE PLATE?

Giving money in the plate is wonderful and helps support St. Martin's and the work that we do to with our neighbors on a daily and weekly basis. However, pledged gifts allow us to plan for the future, build our budget, and to take steps forward in our growth.

How do I pledge?

The online form to record your pledge for 2025 is below, but also keep an eye on your mailbox and in the services over the next few weeks for AGC 2025 pledge cards and materials!
