Faith Formation on Sunday Mornings

All are welcome to join faith formation (or what many people call Sunday School) in the Fellowship Hall at 9:30 am. The format varies from speakers, to free-flowing discussion, to spiritual practices, to book study. Often it starts with coffee and conversation, and the program begins around 9:45.

Specific topics for Fall 2022 include Father Josh's comments on the State of St. Martin's and on this summer's General Convention and Lambeth Conferences. During the month of October, Father Josh and Mother Justi will lead a series titled "You're Wrong About...the Church." They will take turns considering a person, event, or issue in Christianity that has been miscast in the public imagination. Based on the popular podcast, "You're Wrong About" we will explore how we are primed to accept a truth about something just because it feels right when there may be more to the story.

Over the four Sundays in November, Mother Justi will teach and lead The Episcopal Church 101, discussions covering the basic beliefs of our faith. Attendance on all four Sundays is sufficient for Confirmation at the Bishop's next visit. Everyone is welcome every Sunday, but if you are planning on being confirmed and need to miss a class, please make arrangements with Mother Justi to meet individually.
